About: The City of Big Bear Lake contracts with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's for law enforcement services. They police 258 square miles of unincorporated area. Big Bear Lake is located in the San Bernardino National Forest where the Pacific Crest Trail runs through the forest. The station relies on volunteers for their Search and Rescue team.
