Inglewood Courthouse Domestic Violence Results

The Inglewood courthouse sees a tremendous number of domestic violence cases, often involving weapons and significant injuries. Likewise, there are a high number of cases wherein police are summoned to a location over a verbal argument, but the girlfriend or spouse, feeling powerless, claims a battery took place that did not.

Police then arrest our client and bail is presumptively set at $50,000 for a felony case. It can be tremendously jarring in a financial way for our client and his family when the client is fired from his job following the arrest. The victim then asks to drop charges to have her boyfriend or husband released from custody, as she faces eviction and mounting bills. The victim is then surprised when the prosecutor denies such a request.
