About:  The City of Ramona sits six miles from San Diego and is known as the "Valley of the Sun."  The substation patrols over 150 square miles with a population close to 38,000 residents.  Ramona has a large volume of wineries and is home to a historic equestrian community.  The department has 21 deputies with 3 professional staff, 5 sergeants and 1 lieutenant.  They also have a dedicated team of senior volunteers.
