Indio Juvenile Hall is a medium security facility without the tower structure.  There is a heavy guard-to-inmate ratio.  Cage-like structures allow inmates to get some limited exercise for an hour every other day.  Most of the time inmates are in their pod or two-man cell.  There is a library, a commissary, a gym, a barber shop and a chapel.  All the inmates are awaiting sentencing, trial or transfer.  There are no long term inmates.
