Our Child Molestation/Lewd Acts Case Results

Blue Checkbox Child Molestation Facts
Child molestation and related crimes are extremely serious offenses that often result in state prison, even for a first time offender.   A person convicted of these crimes also must register as a sex offender for life.   A conviction can also result in the loss of seeing your children or being in the presence of other children, as well as residency requirements that prohibit living within a certain distance of schools.   Child molestation, possession of child pornography, attempting to meet a child to engage in a sex act and statutory rape all require an experienced criminal defense attorney who can evaluate the complexities of the case and potential legal defenses.

Child molestation cases are particularly complicated because of the massive amount of prosecution evidence.  The children are interviewed by parents, police, social workers, psychologists and counselors.  Other witnesses may even cooperate with police through a “Pretext Call” to assist the police before the case is filed.  These interviews are taped and are often transcribed into written form.  Sometimes, the victim will be further traumatized by being asked to provide a written statement of the events.  Pressure is put on the child each time she or he is interviewed, resulting in a risk of exaggerated or false claims.

Blue Checkbox Greg Hill & Associates Can Help You By:
1Properly investigating all facts and interviewing all witnesses concerning your case to give us the whole scenario, which can reveal potential defenses or grounds to negotiate charges to a lesser offense. We do this by hiring a professional investigator.   The investigator may uncover evidence suggesting the victim is motivated to exaggerate or lie or a history of doing so.  Likewise, the investigator may uncover the victim's history of mental disability or a tendency to fantasize or create false memories that cause the victim to give inaccurate testimony.   Also, our investigator may find medical evidence contradicting the prosecution's medical evidence.
2 Researching potential legal defenses. This can include arranging for a psychological evaluation which shows you do not match the profile of a child molester.  This evaluation includes a discussion of the immigration consequences of a conviction for the charges alleged.
3 Aggressively negotiating your case.
4Hiring experts and psychologists to evaluate and provide testimony to contradict scientific evidence.  In cases of child molestation, children are often subjected to taped interviews by Child Protective Services, social workers and police.  Often these children are only further traumatized in these interviews.   In many instances, these children are slowly programmed to say things that did not take place.  False accusations are quite prevalent.   Hiring a child psychologist to evaluate the interviews conducted by the prosecution experts is fundamental in preparing for a defense..
5 Providing alternative sentencing such as hiring a psychologist to present favorable evidence as to why the crime may have been committed, such as addiction issues, family problems, depression or some other undiagnosed medical problem.  The solution to such issues  can include alcohol and drug treatment, counseling and classes, rather than prison..
