About: The officers that patrol the campus of UCI have a state-wide jurisdiction and authority. They have the same authority as duly sworn peace officers throughout the State of California. The mission of the department is to serve in partnership with the community, supporting a safe and inclusive University. The vision leads the personnel to strive for only the highest standards of ethics and excellence. They provide patrol with the use of vehicle, motorcycles, bicycles and foot patrols. The communications center at the UCI Police Department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by certified dispatchers.
