About: Metro Patrol has 8 sergeants, 7 senior deputies, 67 deputies and 8 support staff. The Patrol Division responds to criminal events, civil mattes and assists other departments. They respond to calls for service and patrolling the streets. The Patrol is the face of the Kern County Sheriff's Office. There are 3 deputies assigned to provide safety at schools. Also, there is a bike patrol that patrol twice a week.
