About: The City of Cypress is located in the northwestern region of Orange County. Cypress is sometimes described as the one of Orange County's "Best Kept Secrets." The city covers almost 7 square miles and has a population of close to 50,000 residents. The police department is divided into operations, investigations and administration. There are 55 sworn officers and 23 civilian employees. The Department has a detective bureau, canine teams, narcotics team, vice & intelligence, motorcycle officers, PACE program and SWAT team.
